My Transformative Experience with Walk347 BanStop Prevent Pilot Research
26 September 2024In my voyage of academic pursuit, I have been exposed to social science research, both in theory and practice; especially, in the aspect of field data collection. However, I must confess that my latest contact with Walk 347 vis - a - vis their research on Mental health, which is tagged "BanStopPrevent" has added more lenghts to my practical knowledge on field data collection. Their well structured questionaires by their renowned team of researchers is an eloquent testimony to the fact that the group a master class.
Ab initio, I was almost apprehensive, considering the fact that the onboarding classes were going to be done online. But as time went by, the grooming process was made so easy that it demystified and allayed all my concerns about how possible it would have been to digest all the procedures involved therein.
More so, being that the study was to focus on three communities in Umuahia South LGA in Abia State, and that I was asked to take charge of one of the communities as a Team Leader was another challenging task. Today, I can appreciate the fact that the whole process has elicited some qualities in me, which were yet to be explored.
In all honesty, I'm really thankful to Walk 347 and NAS Magna Carta for this opportunity to showcase my prowess in this area, and also for having good remuneration and welfare packages for the entire team.
By all these therefore, I have made a resolve to avail myself at any point, in future, if I am reached for similar assignment so as to continue to contribute my quota towards the advancement of knowledge and improvement on all that denote humanistic ideals.
It was a worthwhile experience!
