Are You Walking?

10,000 Kilometres Walk to Health | May–July 2025
Walk with us to stay active, break the chains of neglect, end the stigma, and prevent the isolation of people living with mental health conditions in Nigeria. Every kilometre walked is a step toward dignity, inclusion, and change.
We’re walking 10,000 kilometres across communities, countries, and continents (one step at a time) to build awareness, spark reform, and raise £10,000 in support of the BanStopPrevent Mental Health Advocacy Project.
🌍 Why We're Walking
Mental health stigma in Nigeria is still costing lives and dignity. In many rural areas, people living with mental illness are still chained, flogged, or locked away — often by caregivers or healers who mean well but lack support or awareness.
Walk347 is a special-purpose initiative by NAS Magna Carta, working to Ban harmful practices, Stop stigma, and Prevent isolation.
This campaign builds on the BanStopPrevent Mental Health Advocacy Study, which engaged over 300 participants in Apumiri, Nsukwe, and Mgbarakuma in Umuahia South LGA.
We’re now walking toward action.
🧡 Walking is healing. Awareness is power.
