We Do

Fundraising
Our team regularly takes on long-distance walking challenges such as the London to Brighton 100km and the Cotswold Way Challenge, raising funds for causes like Mind in Mid Herts, Mind UK, Amaudo UK and Prostate Cancer UK. Over the years, we have raised significant amounts to support critical health services and research initiatives. These contributions go towards funding essential research, advocacy, and spporting community workers.

Advocacy
We are actively engaged in advocacy work aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), addressing issues such as social inequality and gender-based violence. Our BanStopPrevent campaign focuses on challenging harmful practices around mental illness in Nigeria. We also mark global events like the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and International Women’s Day, raising awareness for gender equality. Walk347 amplifies its positive social impact by focusing on key SDGs such as Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10).

Volunteering
Primarily through activities such as supporting food banks and assisting in soup kitchens, Walk347 team members also engage in initiatives like offering their professional expertise to local charities. This combination of fundraising efforts and hands-on community work fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and purpose. Volunteers consistently go above and beyond, making a tangible impact on the causes they support and amplifying the reach of Walk347.
