At the forefront of this conversation is Isimeme Joseph Momodu, LLB, BL, GradDipPsych, LLD (Hons), a distinguished legal professional, immigration law expert, and diplomatic affairs specialist.
With over 17 years of legal excellence, Mr. Momodu has built a formidable reputation in immigration law, human rights, and diplomatic relations. As a Fellow of the College of Diplomatic Studies, an Ambassador, and a Special Emissary of the International Society of Diplomats, he has worked tirelessly to navigate the complexities of global migration policies, ensuring legal protection and advocacy for those in need.
His academic and professional credentials further establish him as a leading authority in his field. He holds an LLB from the University of Benin, completed legal training at the Nigerian Law School, and pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, enriching his understanding of the psychological impacts of migration. Recognised for his outstanding contributions to the legal profession, he has been conferred with an honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the United States.
As a member of esteemed legal bodies, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and the International Bar Association, Mr. Momodu remains deeply engaged in shaping legal frameworks that impact migrants worldwide.
At the Mind The (Immigration) Gap Project Launch, he will serve as a presenter and roundtable expert, offering insights into the legal realities of migration, policy implications, and the socio-economic impact on families. His contributions will help inform policy recommendations, advocacy strategies, and public awareness efforts, ensuring that the voices of migrants and their families are at the centre of the conversation.
